Description
Thickness: Available in 4mm
Material: This cast acrylic is filled with chunky flakes and has a Gloss finish to both sides.
Key considerations when using chunky glitter:
- Some sheets may have pitting, which is a common occurrence with chunky glitters near the borders of the sheet. Pitting is an uneven surface caused when air bubbles have been moved to the surface during the casting processed. The acrylic is still glossy, but won’t have a smooth mirror like finish.
- Chunky glitter is prone to having a slight curve and larger sheets may not sit flat. It is less prominent in smaller sheets.
- The glitter flakes tend to settle more to one side of the sheet during the manufacturing process. So the color on each side may be slightly different (one side will be lighter and other side darker).
- There can sometimes be the occasional larger glitter piece within the mix.
- These sheets are heavily discounted and sold on clearance.
Masking: This acrylic comes with a plastic protective film on both sides
Storage: Please keep acrylic sheets stored flat, away from heat and not in direct sunlight.
Please note:
- All acrylic orders requiring delivery will be packed into high quality boxes that we’ve had customized to fit each acrylic size.
- The acrylic sheets we send may be slightly larger than their listed dimensions. Eg: 1200 x 600mm are often 1220 x 605mm, 600 x 400mm are often 605 x 404mm and 600 x 300mm are often 605 x 304mm. These extra millimeters can be helpful Eg. cutting a 600mm circle. The only sheet size which will be exactly cut to size is the 300 x 200mm size.
- Whenever cutting this material make sure you are using proper fume extraction with adequate airflow.
- Although we have invested heavily in super flat highly supportive racking to best store our acrylic, some sheets may have some minor flex to them from transit or manufacturing.
- We do our best to accurately represent colours. Website colours can also appear slightly different depending on your screen type or device used.
- Acrylic thickness can vary slightly from the advertised 4mm. +/- 10% is the common level of tolerance.
- We set a high quality threshold for what is packed, however occasionally some very minor imperfections may be present to the protective film or sheet surface.
- Acrylic protective films can deteriorate overtime. It is recommended not store them in direct sunlight when the protective layer is still on.
