Important:
– As it is a natural product, every piece is unique and will feature different characteristics
– The sheet may contain rough patches in isolated areas of the sheet. Sanding could be required for these areas.
– There will be manufacturers stamp on the back of the sheet. It may impact around 3-5% of the rear sheet surface.
– Occasionally splits may be filled during the manufacturing process. If the affected area is longer than 40cm, then we will isolate the sheet adding it to our TLC discounted inventory.
Q. Is this easy to laser cut?
A. Yes, this laser plywood uses an interior grade glue and cuts beautifully to give a golden brown edge. Always follow instructions provided by your laser cutter manufacturer and always run adequate air extraction when laser cutting any materials. Wait and allow the laser cutter to fully evacuate all fumes before opening the machine.

Q. How are the sheets graded?
A. The manufacturer grades all sheets and this will be stamped or printed on the back of the sheet. This will mean that some portion of your plywood sheet will have a grading stamp on the surface. In most cases these can be sanded off. We have added several product images to best show the type of variation seen within this grade of plywood. Though very uncommon, A, B and C grades of plywood may still contain minor filler and imperfections. Sheets may need sanding in some sections if any rough patches are present. Grading takes into account items such as knots, cracks, filler, dark stains etc.
Q. Do you sell 3mm Laser Ply?
A. We will have a 3mm options in late 2023. We decided not to range the Hoop pine in 3mm because it’s actually more expensive vs the 4mm option (more labour intensive to manufacture).
Q. Are the sheets flat?
A. Our stock is kept under what we call “sandwich pallets”, which we built to produce a smooth flat and even pressure to store our plywood and MDF. This stock is kept out of direct sunlight and dry within our factory. Plywood sheets may have some stresses in them which can present as minor twists or waves in the sheet. This is something we can not control, as it can be present direct from the manufacturer. By choosing a smaller sheet size (eg 600x400mm), more of the stresses can be released during the cutting process, resulting in a flatter sheet. Choosing cut options B and D will have the grain running length ways and is more prone to having a twist in the sheet. If you are concerned about plywood twists or bends, or have limited experience in holding down your material when cutting then please reach out to us when ordering so we can try to find the right sheet or cut for your project. Our 6mm hoop pine has a 5 layer construction vs 3 layer as seen in the 4mm sheets. This 6mm product is more suited to larger cuts and signs etc.
Q. How do you package the plywood
A. Our stock is carefully cut and packaged. We use heavy duty custom boxes to send the majority of our products including plywood. Below is 600x400mm and 600x600mm orders being packed.
