We work direct with the manufacturer to get the highest quality grade possible, but sometimes sheets have imperfections or can have a little more character than what is desired for some customers. This is why we have three categories of Lightweight Plywood:
BC – B grade face, C grade rear
CC – both sides are C Grade
Downgraded – Imperfections both sides
B Grade vs C Grade
In this video we show both B Grade and C grade sheets.
The key difference between both is that B grade has a more appearance grade look with limited character and imperfections.
C Grade has more noticeable character, or may have an imperfection. These C Grade sheets are still a nice looking sheet suitable for many applications.

C Grade Comparison
In this video we show how our C grade lightweight falcata plywood can be very different from other C grade sheets on the market. Some other lightweight plywoods can be very dark in colour making them less appealing. Although ours will have some more character vs our B grade sheets, they are still very light in overall tone and can be used for many products.

Downgraded
In this video we show some examples of downgraded falcata plywood sheets. In short, our downgraded sheets will have imperfections covering a larger area of both sides of the sheet.
The most common issue is parallel faint lines from the manufacturing process on both sides of the sheet.
These sheets are our cheapest panel and are perfect for certain jobs such as creating stencils, templates, models and even painting. You can see our blog post about painting downgraded plywood below.
